Stewart A. Wood joined the Dalkia Australia team in July 2011. A Scot by birth, and an Engineer by profession, he brings to Australia the benefits of a successful career spanning over 40 years with such notable companies as Shell and IBM, prior to joining the Veolia Group, Dalkia's parent, in London. Since then, he has held numerous senior Executive positions within the Veolia Group of Companies, in the UK, Australia previously, Sweden, Norway and a pan-European role based in the Companies headquarters in Paris, France.

His previous role was that of Chief Executive Officer of Veolia Energy North America, based in Boston in Massachusetts, USA. Over the period of 6 years, this business was developed from scratch to become the largest owner and operator of district energy systems in the US, with a turnover of over $407 million, a staff of 680, and a national footprint. During this period, Mr. Wood oversaw numerous acquisitions, and seamlessly integrated these into the overall business, including that of an Energy consultancy unit, providing advice and guidance on all aspects of Energy matters to its customers. Mr. Wood is based at Dalkia's headquarters in North Ryde, NSW.
