Innovation

At the Centre for Research on the Environment, Energy and Waste, R&D teams from Dalkia and Veolia Environnement are conducting a number of research programs related to renewable energies, with the aim of optimizing their integration into currently available solutions. Research focuses primarily on: Optimizing and enhancing the reliability of biomass combustion systems, by testing different biomass mixes, including wood chips and forest residues, and by exploring biomass gasification for power generation. Improving the performance of solar heating systems, through lab tests of concentrators and hybrid photovoltaic/thermal collectors. Producing energy from oxygen and hydrogen with fuel cell technologies, including full-scale stationary demonstrators.
